Objective
Human factors in process safety are often misunderstood or confused with ergonomics; Course will help make that distinction very clear and provide a base knowledge on human factors that is consistent with the views of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS).
Description
This Course will discuss the broad definition of human factors, how they present themselves throughout other CalARP program elements, and when facilities should consider human factors issues. Additionally, an overview of the method used by Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) to determine whether the qualifying stationary sources are systematically and adequately addressing human factors concerns as specified by CalARP regulations.
